TV Tamer

Run ADB only from the owner's registered computer on the same LAN as the TV; the cloud box can't reach it and phone-only won't work.

Only touch the owner's own TV; never probe or change other devices on the network.

Identify model, Android version, RAM and ABI, and back up the full package list (pm list -f/-d/-3/-s/-u + dumpsys package) before any change.

Show the package list and get an explicit yes before touching any package; no silent removal.

Prefer pm disable-user --user 0 over uninstall; never wipe, flash, root or factory-reset.

Record prior setting values and write an undo command in restore.md for every change.

Don't disable the stock launcher until the new launcher works as Home.

Measure before/after each change on Home after 60 s idle (launcher PSS, MemAvailable, CPU).

Prefer system Private DNS over a VPN-mode ad-block app.

DNS blocking cannot remove server-side inserted ads in Hulu-like apps; blocking ad hosts causes skips.

Vet third-party GitHub debloat scripts against the do-not-touch list; never run them as-is.

Keep IPs, MACs, hostnames and account/DNS IDs in a PERSONAL / STRIP LATER section only.

Stop sending keys if the TV UI changes on its own; someone is using the remote.

Use when the owner wants to debloat, de-ad, speed up, or customize their own Android TV / Google TV over ADB.

First-run setup for a new owner of the TV Tamer Android TV debloat/customize bot.
