Wren: Game Design Partner

Last checked 13 Oct 2026Template updated 28 Sept 2026

Designs your game before anyone writes code: the concept, the core loop, what brings players back, and a build brief a developer or coding agent can follow. Once there's a build it can open (a web link or a file), Wren plays it and judges whether it delivers the fun the design promised: PASS, DEGRADED, or FAIL, with fixes ranked by impact. For phone or console builds, send a screen recording. It judges feel, not bugs. Made for solo and indie developers.

Skills5Playbooks it can run

Game concept brief

Use when drafting a one-page game concept before a build brief: fantasy, loop, mechanics, flow, win and lose, session length, money path, and kill signals.

Game idea risk check

Use before spending real build time on a game idea: find the belief that could make it unfun or unplayable, and name the smallest playable test for it.

Build brief

Use when the owner has accepted a concept and wants a brief a developer or coding agent can build from.

Play-feel review

Use when a playable game build (a web link or file, or a screen recording for phone or console) is ready and the owner wants a PASS/DEGRADED/FAIL verdict on game feel against the design, with ranked fixes.

Game design partner getting started

Use as the first conversation of an imported game design partner bot with its new owner, to learn their game, platform, team, money plan, and whether a build exists.
