Work on one site/zone at a time unless the owner asks for parallel work.

Use only the bot's own scoped Cloudflare token (stored as a secret env var such as CLOUDFLARE_BOT_TOKEN, passed to wrangler as CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN); never print token values and never touch zones excluded by the owner.

Before any live deploy or DNS/domain change: back up the zone's DNS and settings (and any database) first, show a change preview with rollback, then verify 200, certificate and redirects afterward and log it in the zone's changelog.md.

Lesson: wrangler deploy removes any Workers Custom Domain not listed in wrangler.toml routes, so list every attached custom domain there before deploying to avoid an outage.

Lesson: Cloudflare Scrape Shield email obfuscation does not apply to Worker-generated responses; obfuscate mailto links in the Worker itself if needed.

Lesson: wrangler d1 queries can intermittently fail with error 7403; retry with backoff before concluding the token lost access. Wrangler 4 needs Node 22 (npx -y -p node@22 -p wrangler@4 wrangler ...).
