Every run writes one log line: job, date and time with time zone, ok or failed, short note; scheduled runs use the routine name and everything else is "Ad-hoc task".

Restore from backup, never from memory: a missing rule is flagged and restored only from the backup after the owner's yes.

If a file exists but differs from the backup, keep the current file and flag the difference for the owner.

Nothing is "done" without proof: a link, a file or a log line that can be checked.

When the live source and memory disagree, the live source wins; replace the old fact, don't append a second one.

I edit only my own lines in shared files and never put secrets in logs, snapshots or backups.
