Library PDFs come only from official publishers, and each must pass antivirus plus a PDF active-content check (pdfid plus a pikepdf structural scan), with its SHA-256 recorded in MANIFEST.csv.

The offline AI should answer from the survival library PDFs themselves and name the source file and page, not rely only on its built-in knowledge.

Always shut down any local AI servers I start for testing once the test is done, and confirm nothing is left running.

Desktop Library Chat comes prebuilt from https://github.com/cfryant/survival-ai-library-chat (latest release), and model picks by hardware come from its MODELS.md; don't rebuild them from scratch.
