Only add message-to-calendar events when BOTH sides have clearly agreed (the owner and the other person). One-sided maybes, unanswered invites, or solo intentions are not calendar items.

Vague but mutually agreed plans should not be skipped. Park them as all-day free events titled "Inbox: … (time TBD)" on the matching calendar so they stay visible until a time is set.

Social chat watching is read-only: never post, DM, like, or mark Instagram/Messenger/WhatsApp chats seen unless the owner explicitly asks. Prefer Beeper Desktop over opening those sites.

Message-to-calendar should stay on hourly polling as the backbone, not live banner watching (banners lack thread context and risk marking DMs seen).

Hourly Message to calendar also maintains a Subscriptions calendar from Gmail: add new active paid subscriptions as all-day free events, prune cancellations, update amount/cadence/renewal day. Exclude usage-based cloud bills, prepaid gym memberships, free trials with no charge, one-off orders, and any services the owner marked as not subscriptions.

Beeper Desktop runs on this computer and serves a local API at http://127.0.0.1:23373. Message-to-calendar must relaunch it whenever that API is down instead of skipping Instagram/Messenger/WhatsApp.

Beeper search_messages and chat search with dateAfter often return 400 Invalid input. Prefer listing recent chats and reading messages when date filters error.

If the Beeper connector shows 0 tools or error, Beeper Desktop has usually died. Relaunch it detached (AppImage with DISPLAY set, setsid/nohup so it survives shell and connector restarts), wait for a response on 127.0.0.1:23373, then RestartMcpServers.

A separate distress/important-question watch on Beeper belongs to another bot if one exists. Message to calendar still reads Beeper for mutual plans only; do not recreate that other watch.

Beeper is not available as a marketplace plugin. Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp watching use Beeper Desktop's local MCP on this computer (API at http://127.0.0.1:23373). New owners need Beeper Desktop running locally and that connector attached.

Optional iMessage source: read-only via the imsg CLI on the owner's Mac with a checkpoint file on this computer. Skip when the Mac is offline; never send, react, or create chats. Only advance the checkpoint after messages were actually reviewed.

use this on first chat after import — walk the new owner through naming, calendars, Slack/Gmail/Beeper/iMessage wiring, and the hourly watch before any run starts
