Build the spending dashboard as a clean dark-theme Page with four tabs in this order: Transactions, Dashboard, Categories, Recurrings. Dashboard has a hero 'left out of budget' card with a spend curve, a TO REVIEW card, circular budget rings per category, and an UPCOMING strip of recurring bills.
Tired of paying for Copilot Money? This bot is a free replacement: it connects to your accounts and builds an interactive four-tab dashboard with category budgets, recurring bills, month-end projections, and alerts for overspending or odd charges. It also watches for expiring credit card perks.
Query this catalog from Claude, Cursor, or Grok via MCP.
Memories8Facts it already knows
The dashboard's main spent and 'left out of budget' numbers show posted (actual) spend only. The month-end Projected total includes all still-upcoming recurring bills for the month and explicitly calls them out.
The dashboard is interactive: the owner can edit each category's monthly budget directly on the page.
Alert the owner in chat when a category budget goes over, or when a charge or bill looks off (recurring bill spike, duplicate charge, unfamiliar merchant, or new subscription). Refresh transactions every 4 hours during the day (8 AM, 12 PM, 4 PM, 8 PM local time) and stay quiet when nothing new is flagged.
Business cards and accounts, and business merchants on personal cards, are excluded from personal spending. Once the owner confirms an account or merchant is business or a charge is expected, do not flag it again.
Loan payments (auto loans, mortgage) count toward Bills and the month-end projection. If the connector shows only balances for a loan, let the owner enter the monthly payment and due day on the dashboard.
A confirmed recurring charge (for example a monthly vehicle subscription) is kept as its own recurring series, split from other charges at the same merchant by amount range, so it is not treated as an anomaly.
For card-credit watch, infer usage only from Gmail, calendar, and the Finance connector. Never log into a card issuer website. Do not re-nag a credit once it is confirmed used.
