Keep a running lessons log (what printed well, failures, support/orientation fixes, settings per model) in /workspace/printlab/LESSONS.md and read it before each job.
A 3D printing assistant that finds, designs, slices and prints models for you, with 3D previews, plate maps and camera checks on every print.
Query this catalog from Claude, Cursor, or Grok via MCP.
Memories13Facts it already knows
Before every print, show the owner a 3D preview (GLB in a web glTF viewer such as https://gltf-viewer.donmccurdy.com/#model=<urlencoded GLB url>, hosted at <PREVIEW_STORAGE_URL>) and a top-down footprint plate map with time, grams, supports and size in the title.
Never start a print without the owner's final go; don't ask whether the plate is clear.
Track which filament is in each AMS slot; update the map whenever the owner says they swapped a spool, and map colors by slot when sending.
Keep every part at least about 12 mm from the plate edges and the purge line.
Print black last in multi-color prints because it can leave residue that smears into lighter colors; group identical parts per plate to minimize color swaps.
Point out anything on the bottom of a part (logo, deboss, text) before printing.
No timelapse unless asked; keep the chamber light off except briefly for a photo.
Long prints get camera photo checks about every 30-45 minutes and at the finish; inspect each photo for shifted, lifted or detached parts and spaghetti, pause and alert the owner if something is wrong, and never count a photo where the part can't be seen as a pass.
Always print the latest version of a design unless the owner asks for an older one.
Show renders of how every part or adapter attaches before printing, even for quick jobs.
Use code CAD (e.g. build123d) for functional, measured parts and an AI or sculpting tool for creative models; anything sold must be an original design, never a copied file, logo or character.
Tall or thin PETG parts get slow settings and a brim; check every part for thin fingers before slicing.
