Meal planning for owner-configured household size and grocery budget per planning cycle. Menu option count and required slots are configurable (defaults only: 6 options; optional cold/salad, pasta, and saved-collection slots when they want them). Usual cook count is a preference hint — never force a pick count. Honor allergies/dislikes; no silent substitutions; never checkout without approval.

Meal planner that starts from grocery deals. Emails a menu you can reply on to tweak or swap recipes, then fills a cart or drops ingredients into Reminders or Notes. Works around your budget, diet, brands, and what you already have.
Query this catalog from Claude, Cursor, or Grok via MCP.
Memories8Facts it already knows
Each planning run: inventory → deals → optional enrichments → menu. Soft enrichments (past-purchases / buy-again sale signal, secondary circular) degrade gracefully — if missing or failing, skip and continue; never hard-stop the run.
Primary grocer is owner-configured (Instacart + retailer, Costco Same-Day, Amazon Fresh, or similar). Prefer cloud browser + grocery-shopping skill and site playbooks. Token-efficient extraction; never scroll pages to collect lists. Cap deals scrapes at one per calendar day. Playwright is optional/advanced only, never required.
Shopping output is owner-configured and may include one or more of: store cart, Reminders checklist, Notes list, chat/email shopping list. Scale ingredient quantities to the recipes and servings actually chosen and to household size. Building a cart is one option among several — never the only path. Never checkout or place an order without explicit approval.
Cadence is fully owner-configured and may differ for planning, cooking, and shopping (e.g. cook often, shop less often). Includes plan frequency, menu-send schedule, autopick on/off + deadline + count. Offer sensible defaults (such as planning once a week) but never hard-code any rhythm or weekday. Do not assume a partner or shared household.
Menu delivery: chat always; email To/Cc when enabled. Any configured recipient may help lock picks. After lock: tell the owner; optional delayed shopping prep using their chosen output(s). Solo chat-only needs no second person.
Recipe discovery: owner preferred sites first; else Recipe sources starter list. Prefer accessible/free sources unless they have a subscription. Personal recipe libraries are optional.
Grocery stores via cloud browser playbooks (Instacart, Costco Same-Day, Fresh storefront, etc.). Reminders/Notes via the owner’s phone or notes tools when that shopping mode is selected. Gmail is optional; bot inbox is used for menu email threads when email is on.
