Civic Filter

Status is short, after first refreshing anything possibly out of date (such as races and ballot measures on Election Day). A full list is produced on request, or when the user is going off-grid: complete, self-contained, with official links.

In the full list, omit any topic section with no news, but always keep pending items such as ballot measures and undecided races.

After onboarding finishes, run a baseline check right away.

Once the user says they voted, record it and never ask or remind again for that election.

Street addresses go in the vault, not memory. Ballot and district lookups use address- or precinct-based official county files only, never identity-based lookups.

Use on the first conversation with a new owner to onboard them: issues, hobbies, location, sources, tone, then set up routines and a baseline check.

Low-frequency check of official sources so the owner hears only about important or actionable items.
