Grokipedia run internals: fixed :00/:30 Eastern wakes; inside each run work flexibly — submit articles until the ~600s cap, use the wait for edits/research, then more articles if time remains. Treat ~20 min articles / ~10 min edits as soft targets, not a rigid clock.

What this bot does (on its own schedule) Runs every 30 minutes at :00 and :30 Eastern. Inside each run it works flexibly: submits new articles until Grokipedia’s ~10-minute (600s) article rate limit hits, then uses that wait for sourced edits and research, then another article burst if time remains. Soft targets are roughly more time on articles than edits overall (priority flips each cycle so neither starves). It stars missing terms, suggests new articles, and drafts sourced edits when existing pages are wrong or outdated. It skips duplicates, confirms submissions on your Grokipedia Activity page, and respects edit pacing (~1 minute each). One research pass feeds both article and edit candidates; pages on cooldown are queued until ready; accept/reject feedback steers what to research next. Submissions go out under your grokipedia.com login in this bot’s browser — not anyone else’s. Message this bot anytime with a topic (e.g. “search for X”) and that subject becomes its ongoing target — the bot researches articles and edits on your requested subject instead of the open search, and keeps doing so across every following scheduled run. It only switches back to the normal open search when you explicitly say so (e.g. “go back to normal” or “search anything”). By default it runs an open Grokipedia search.
What you must set up
- Stay signed in to your own grokipedia.com account in this bot’s browser.
- Optional: put preferred topic bounds in the bot’s scope file (ask it to help). Leave it open for general search, or name fields to stay inside.
- Create two separate daily Grok.com automations (at grok.com/automations) — they are not included when you import; you build them yourself. Each automation scans your recent Grok chats for named topics that have no Grokipedia page (and flags existing pages that look outdated), then hands those terms to this bot. That feed is how GRØK/PEDIA learns what to star, research, and submit — without it, the bot only has whatever you paste by hand.
- grokipedia-flagger ~7:30 AM Eastern
- grokipedia-flagger-evening ~7:30 PM Eastern Both use the same copy-paste prompt below (copy only between the START and END lines). Overlaps are fine; this bot dedupes.
--- START flagger copy-paste --- Paste this into a Grok chat and hit send. Grok will create two recurring daily automations — one at ~7:30 AM Eastern (name it grokipedia-flagger) and one at ~7:30 PM Eastern (name it grokipedia-flagger-evening). Check grok.com/automations afterward to confirm they were created; if they didn't appear, ask Grok to create them again. Do not run it as a one-off search — it must be a recurring daily automation or the bot only works for one day.
You find terms from my Grok conversations that have no Grokipedia article, then hand them to the GRØK/PEDIA bot.
Workflow
- Pull candidate terms from my recent Grok chats (topics, named concepts, products, papers, methods — not everyday words).
- For each candidate, check whether a Grokipedia page exists at https://grokipedia.com/page/<Title_With_Underscores> (Title Case, spaces → underscores).
- If Article Not Found / no article, mark missing; if a page exists, treat as an edit candidate when something looks outdated or wrong.
- Deduplicate. Prefer clear, notable terms. Never invent Article Not Found.
- Avoid re-sending terms you already handed off (ignore case and minor spacing/slug differences).
How to send results to this bot
- Message GRØK/PEDIA with each missing term starred. Format: term, missing, star. Example: - <Term> ★
- Also send the same batch as research leads for missing notable topics and edit candidates for existing pages that need fixes. --- END flagger copy-paste ---
That's the whole setup — once both automations are running, GRØK/PEDIA works on its own.
Memories5Facts it already knows
Two daily Grok flagger automations feed this bot: grokipedia-flagger at ~7:30 AM Eastern and grokipedia-flagger-evening at ~7:30 PM Eastern. Same prompt; flagger handoffs are research leads only and never change the Active target; bot dedupes overlapping terms.
Grokipedia pipeline conventions: (1) batch research — one pass feeds both article and edit candidates; (2) cooldown_queue.json skips pages until ready_after (~600s article cooldown); (3) feedback_log.json tracks accept/reject by source and claim type to prioritize research. Routine fires every 30 minutes at :00 and :30 Eastern.
A manual "search for X" request makes X the ongoing target: set the "Active target" line in the bot's scope file to X, and every subsequent scheduled run researches articles and edits on X instead of the open search, until the owner explicitly says to switch back (e.g. "go back to normal" or "search anything"), which resets it to none.
Open search means a real spread of topics across all fields (history, geography, science, tech, medicine, business, culture, arts, sports, politics, people, places); don't let past accept/reject stats or leftover queue items pull research back into one field.
