Best Grok Bots for Trading and Finance
Not financial advice. This page is an editorial guide to software templates. It does not recommend any security, token, trade or strategy, and nothing here is investment, tax or legal advice. Several bots below can place real orders or move money. Read each note before you add one, start in paper mode, and never give a bot access you are not prepared to lose.
Finance is the topic where a Grok Bot template can do the most good and the most damage. Some of the eleven bots below only explain things, some watch a list and tell you what changed, and two can act on markets, each behind a confirmation gate. This page sorts them by how much they can do, so you can choose the lowest-risk one that does your job.
How we picked
We read each template's instructions, skills and routines in our directory, then kept bots that have a clear finance job, enough content to be useful and a visible stance on risk. We dropped near-duplicates and thin templates. Template summaries come from what is stored in the directory on 2026-10-31; we did not run any of these bots with real money, and a template can change after we read it.
Order on this page runs from lowest to highest risk. The last two can act on markets, and only after you approve or explicitly unlock them. We left out bots that place trades without asking you first.
Pick by situation
- New to investing: start with Passive Income Investing Coach, which only teaches.
- You trade already and want discipline: Trading Journal logs and challenges your plans without touching a broker.
- A watchlist and a daily brief: Premarket Desk · 盘前早报 for US names, 观潮 for A-shares, Hong Kong and the US in Chinese.
- Deep company research: Stock Market Portfolio Manager for a structured debate, Gavin Baker for AI and growth names.
- Options: Options Premium Desk Bot for equity put credits, Crypto Options bot for crypto chains.
- Crypto wallets and launches: Whale Desk by postedgo.
- A bot that can act on your behalf, with a gate: Livermore or Poly, both after you have spent time in paper mode.
Money-moving behaviour at a glance
- Can place orders only after your approval: Livermore (Robinhood, per order).
- Paper by default, live on your explicit go: Poly.
- Optional credentials that could touch a venue: Crypto Options bot (test RFQs only, per its skills), and the optional brokerage step in Stock Market Portfolio Manager.
- Everything else is research, alerts or education.
If you want to connect a data source or set up a watchlist, follow Connect a Grok Bot to finance data instead of copying an order-placing bot first.

Why it is on the list
Does not trade or log in anywhere. A teaching bot for beginners with small tools: a jargon explainer, a starter-plan builder, a compound-growth calculator, a fund comparison, a scam check and a market-drop coach. Suits someone who wants to learn the vocabulary before touching a data feed or a broker. Caveats: it describes itself as an educator, not a licensed advisor, and it will not give you live data or alerts.

Why it is on the list
Does not trade. This is a journal and plan challenger for people who already trade: you log ideas, fills and exits by chat, voice, CSV or screenshot, and it checks a new plan against your own rules and past results. It suits anyone who wants a record before they automate anything. Caveats: it installs a helper script on the bot's computer (the template says it verifies a checksum), has no scheduled routines, and is only as good as what you log.

Why it is on the list
Does not trade, connect to a broker or post. You paste a US ticker list and it sends a short pre-market brief each trading day, an evening readout when a watched name reports, and a weekly wrap. Needs the X plugin for its social-chatter section. A good first bot for the watchlist-and-alerts habit. Caveats: the template says it gives no buy or sell calls, so it will not rank ideas for you, and it is built around US names and the AI and semiconductor tape.

观潮 跨市场投资研究助手:按时段盯 A股/港股/美股与宏观,对照持仓自选,并记录高机会标的。默认短档简报、全文按需;硬节点与币圈嵌时段;面向用户说人话。非投资建议。

Why it is on the list
Does not trade; it describes itself as research, not investment advice. It is a Chinese-language cross-market workbench with routines for the A-share, Hong Kong and US sessions, a holdings and watchlist file, and a scan that looks for what would prove a thesis wrong. Suits a reader who follows all three markets and wants that in Chinese. Caveats: about 19 routines, so most people will want to pause many of them, and no plugins are listed, so freshness depends on its web access.

Gavin Baker Gavin Baker

Thinks like Gavin Baker. Reads the whole AI stack, public and private, before the market wakes up. Gavin is the AI analyst that never sleeps and never guesses.

Why it is on the list
Does not trade. An analyst persona focused on the AI capex cycle: company deep dives, expected-return maths at today's price, a weekday brief against your holdings, a decision journal that revisits your calls after 30, 90 and 365 days, and an X feed watcher that alerts only when a post matters. Suits a growth investor who wants a thesis-and-journal workflow. Caveats: this is a third-party persona template, not affiliated with or endorsed by Gavin Baker, and the X feed routine runs every two hours in the daytime.

Why it is on the list
Research only by default; the template mentions an optional brokerage step in onboarding, so check what you enable. A named portfolio manager runs six analyst roles that debate one company at a time, then a weekday check on your holdings and an optional market digest. It uses the Notion plugin to keep research notes. Suits an investor who wants a structured, challengeable company write-up. Caveats: a full run is long and uses a lot of usage, the digest ships paused until you pick a source, and a debate is still model output, not audited analysis.

Why it is on the list
Alerts only, but options carry real risk. Weekday routines cover a pre-market report, a put-credit-spread scan on mega-cap names, SPY technicals and short-strike alerts; the template frames it as research and alerts where you place any order yourself. Suits an options seller who wants a structured morning routine. Caveats: put credit spreads can lose more than the premium collected, there is no connector, and the eight routines run on several weekday schedules, so check usage.

Optional venue keys: read the setup carefully. Reads public options data from Deribit, Derive and Paradex (chains, implied volatility, greeks, skew, open interest) and normalises them for side-by-side comparison. Its skills say it never trades. If you opt in to RFQ testing it can send a test request for quotes and cancel it, which needs your own venue credentials. Suits a crypto options trader who wants readable chains. Caveats: skip the RFQ step unless you understand it, and it has no scheduled routine until you ask for one.

Does not trade. An on-chain radar for Hyperliquid, Solana and Robinhood Chain stock tokens: check a wallet's real PnL, test a new token for bundling and sniping, map who funded a wallet, and get alerts when watched wallets move. It runs on free public data. Suits crypto researchers who want to vet a wallet or launch before reading the hype. Caveats: this is memecoin and perp territory where most signals are noisy, copying a whale is not a strategy, and a scan every 30 minutes means steady usage.

Money-moving: can place orders through your Robinhood, one at a time, after your yes. Builds a trade plan and position size in the style you choose (day, swing, options, crypto, long-term), then runs a preview-then-confirm flow if you connect Robinhood. Suits a self-directed trader who wants sizing discipline. Caveats: the connection step is a skill we could not test, price data falls back to web research when Robinhood is not connected, and options and crypto sizing are only as safe as the rules you set. Keep the confirmation step on.

Why it is on the list
Money-moving: paper first, live only on your go. Poly watches Polymarket prediction markets: five-minute Up/Down momentum on Bitcoin and a few other coins, plus a slower watchlist of high-certainty cards. A shared "desk gates" skill is meant to keep it in paper mode until you explicitly unlock live trading. Best for someone who wants to see how a rules-based desk behaves before any money is involved. Caveats: the entry-watch routines fire every few minutes around the clock, so expect heavy usage, and we have not verified how the live unlock works.
