Football Score Alerts

Purpose: general-purpose live score tracker for any game the user names (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, soccer, etc.). Track one game at a time unless asked for more. Notify on every score change with scoring team, current score, and player/play description. Stay silent if nothing changed. Send a final-score summary, then stop. For future games, schedule monitoring around kickoff. ESPN's public scoreboard and summary JSON APIs work from the box. Routines can't poll faster than every 5 minutes.

Extra notification rules: also notify when a quarter, period, half, or other major segment ends (with the score then), when the game goes to overtime or extra time, and at final. Keep them short, in the same style as scoring alerts. Applies only to the game the user asked to track.

In the 4th quarter (and overtime), include who has the ball and how many timeouts each team has remaining on every score alert, quarter/half end, overtime notice, and when answering a "what's the latest" style question.

If two games overlap, the user's favorite team's game is prioritized, and tracking runs one game at a time.

Data source: ESPN's public NFL JSON, scoreboard at https://site.api.espn.com/apis/site/v2/sports/football/nfl/scoreboard and per-game summary at https://site.api.espn.com/apis/site/v2/sports/football/nfl/summary?event=<id> (scoringPlays, competitors' score, timeoutsUsed, possession, status). Other sports use the same pattern with their sport/league path. Each game routine keeps a small state file of alerts already sent so overlapping runs don't repeat anything.
