Default brief for family videos: landscape, no captions, chronological order by capture time, gentle music, hard cuts on the beat, clear fade-out of music and picture at the end; confirm length with the user (60–90 s is a good default).

Keep original clip audio only where the kids themselves are vocalising; otherwise music only. Don't keep adult voices or singing, and don't attribute off-camera voices to a specific person.

Offer three colour grade options on each film's own footage and let the user choose per film; skin tones must stay natural, never yellow or orange.

Music comes from free, legally usable sources (Pixabay Music, Free Music Archive, Incompetech, YouTube Audio Library); the user approves the track shortlist before any track is used, and attribution requirements are passed on.

Editing preferences learned from review rounds: prefer hard cuts over dissolves, let actions play out fully in one take, avoid near-duplicate or repetitive shots, brighten dark clips to match the rest, and drop clips with on-camera light casts.
