Best Grok Bots for Daily Briefings
A good daily briefing bot does two things: it arrives at the same time every morning, and it stays silent when there is nothing worth saying. The thirteen templates below cover different kinds of briefing: AI industry news, your own inbox and calendar, your household, your money, and four Chinese-language daily reports. This page compares them. To build your own, follow the playbook Build a daily briefing Grok Bot.
How we picked
We read each template's skills, routines and plugin list in our directory (as of 2026-10-31) and kept templates that have a scheduled routine or a defined brief format, a clear source of material, and some stated way of avoiding repeats or empty messages. We did not run any of them, so the notes below describe what each template says it does. Every template is active, public and not thin.
We promoted two reserves: 信息搜集-bot (a daily Chinese AI report with a source link on every item) and the Traditional Chinese 老闆每日 3 分鐘 morning report, so that the Chinese-language shelf has four members. We left out Premarket Desk because it already sits on the finance shelf, and AI 资讯精选 because its record shows no routine.
Pick by situation
- AI news, each claim labelled as vendor-claimed or independently tested: AI Daily Radar.
- A morning digest of your own work (inbox, Slack, meeting notes): Intel Scout Bot.
- A spoken morning show from calendar, inbox and X bookmarks: Morning Brief.
- The family's day on one page: Tradbot. Despite the name, it is a household morning paper for busy parents, not a traditional-media bot.
- A weekly printable paper from links you saved: Weekend Edition.
- Headlines without one slant: News Honestly.
- Bills, charges and what looks wrong with your money: Money Brief.
- You want to publish a daily briefing, not just read one: Wirey.
- Chinese-language daily reports (日报): 左左的AI情报员 for a weekday AI report, 信息搜集-bot for AI hot topics and controversies, 时讯 for world and China headlines, Overheard 晨间简报 for a digest of the people you follow on X.
- A Traditional Chinese morning report (早報): 老闆每日 3 分鐘商業情報與早報秘書.

Your morning AI brief, tuned to your stack. Launches, price changes, and benchmark claims from the last 24h, each tagged vendor-claimed or independently tested…

- Skills4
- Routines2
Why it is on the list
Morning brief of the last 24 hours of AI launches, price changes and benchmark claims, each tagged vendor-claimed or independently tested and linked, seven items at most, with a Friday wrap. It ships separate skills for evidence tagging, de-duplication across sources and brief formatting, which makes it the best model to copy for your own bot. It suits people who must keep up with AI tools without reading everything. It lists the X plugin, so expect to connect X; a monthly tune-up routine asks whether your stack or topics changed. Posts and buys nothing.

Twice-daily brief from inbox, Slack, and meeting notes. Digests what you saw and didn’t — company context that affects you, open follow-ups, and what’s useful…

- Routines1
Why it is on the list
Twice-daily brief at 8am and 5pm on weekdays from Gmail, Slack and Granola meeting notes, each item as source, why it matters and what to do, skipping things you already own. It suits someone who wants context they missed, not a news feed. The routine starts disabled, so enable it deliberately. It needs three connected apps and will only be as good as the notes you give it.

Why it is on the list
A daily audio morning show of about 15 minutes built from your calendar, inbox and X bookmarks, plus a weekday text brief. Read-only: it is described as never sending or changing anything for you. It suits people who would rather listen than read. It lists five plugins (Gmail, Google Calendar, X, Slack, Notion) so setup is the main cost; the audio and text routines overlap, so run one first.
- 04

- Routines5
Why it is on the list
A household morning paper, not a news bot: the weekday digest covers what needs you today, the one-page kitchen newspaper puts the schedule on top with weather and a kid-friendly fun fact, and there is an afternoon pickup check, a Friday weekend preview and a monthly parent note. It reads Gmail and Google Calendar, and the digest stays quiet when nothing needs you. It suits busy parents who want the family's day on paper. Five routines is a lot to switch on at once, and the pickup check and printable paper assume a school-age household.

Weekend Edition Weekend Edition
by Nathan
Turn your saved links and X bookmarks into a weekly newspaper you can print.
- Memories9
- Skills10
- Routines3
Why it is on the list
Not a daily briefing, but the best weekly one: you drop links and X bookmarks into chat, it harvests bookmarks each evening, builds a numbered slate on Friday for you to approve, and composes a printable letter-size PDF on Saturday only if you approved the slate. It suits readers who save more than they read. Caveats: it scaffolds a script pipeline in its workspace through several skills, printing happens only when you ask, and it needs the X plugin.

Why it is on the list
Takes recent public headlines and shows two serious good-faith readings of each, then a synthesis with sources. It has no routine, so it works on request. It suits readers who want the news without a side picked for them. To make it a morning brief you add your own routine, and the quality of the framing depends on the headlines it can reach.

Why it is on the list
A weekday money brief: what is due, what posted and what looks wrong, with weekly spending and monthly net worth reports. It alerts once per item through a ledger, stays silent when nothing is new, and its notes say it never pays, transfers, cancels or changes autopay. It suits people who want a calm daily check of their accounts. It reads financial data and email, so connect only what you are comfortable sharing. Six routines to review. This is not financial advice.

Why it is on the list
A production pipeline rather than a reader's briefing: it researches the last 24 hours of AI and tech news, writes a neutral script, voices it with ElevenLabs, runs an edit check and hands off to social posting and a newsletter draft. It suits a creator who publishes a daily show. Flagged: its output is meant to be published, so keep every posting step behind your approval. It needs the ElevenLabs plugin and a video editing setup.

Simplified Chinese. A fixed 46-source AI scan with verification, de-duplication and importance scoring, delivered as a concise 日报 to your chat each weekday at 08:30 Asia/Shanghai. It does not pad thin days and does not post externally. It suits Chinese readers who track AI developments. Change the time zone and schedule if you are not in China, and expect the sources to be tuned to AI news in Chinese contexts.

Why it is on the list
Simplified Chinese. Each morning it collects the past 24 hours of AI hot topics and controversies and writes a fixed-format 日报, with a source link on every item. Its first-run chat asks for your topics, delivery time and platforms. It suits content creators and anyone following industry debate. It has no listed plugins and no stated quiet-day behaviour, so add a no-news rule if you do not want empty reports.

Simplified Chinese. An hourly daytime brief of world and China events, a 15-minute watch that alerts only on major breaking news, and a nightly 日报, with a source link on each item. It suits readers who want to follow events and markets closely. Flagged for usage: hourly plus 15-minute routines are the pattern x.ai warns can use a lot of usage, so consider keeping only the nightly summary. This is not financial advice.

Why it is on the list
Simplified Chinese. One merged 晨间简报 each day of what the people you follow on X said, arranged by the topics you care about, optionally saved to Notion or Obsidian. The first-run chat asks four questions, one at a time. It suits readers who want to scroll X less. Quality depends on the accounts you give it, and it lists no plugin, so check how it reads X and where it saves.

Traditional Chinese. A three-minute morning report (早報) on global business and AI-monetisation trends, written in plain language so you can follow meeting talk.
