Best Grok Bots for Job Search

These are ten Grok Bot templates for job searching, chosen to cover different people and different stages rather than ten copies of the same daily job list. Some find roles, some tailor a resume, some only coach you through interviews, and a few apply for you. The ones that apply or message people are flagged, because a mistake there reaches an employer.

For the setup route, use Automate a job search with a Grok Bot.

How we picked

  • We read each template's skills, routines and plugins in our directory. We did not import or run any of them.
  • We kept one bot per distinct job: broad daily matching, resume-only, interview-only, campus jobs, freelance gigs, creator roles and so on. Near-duplicates and generic assistants were left out.
  • We favoured templates that say they will not invent experience and will ask before applying. We note where that is not the case.
  • Template dates run from late August to late October 2026.

Pick by situation

Read this before applying with a bot

  • Applications go out under your name. Prefer templates that draft first and wait for your approval. Two members, CareerOps Desk and Handshake Job Applier, can submit. Check what they do before you start a routine.
  • Do not let a bot invent experience. Employers can check. Pick templates that work from a fact sheet and show every change.
  • Scams. The FTC says honest employers do not ask you to pay to get a job (FTC). Of these ten, only Job Search Bot lists a scam check as a standing skill, so run the checks in the playbook for the rest.
  • Your data. A resume holds your address, phone and work history. Keep it out of any template you share publicly.

10 picksUpdated Picked by an editor

This is a curated shortlist, not a how-to. For routines, see playbooks.

The picks

  1. 01

Why it is on the list

The broadest starter. A weekday routine finds new postings that match your background and sends a short list, and every result passes a scam-check skill. It also covers cover letters, interview prep, an application tracker and LinkedIn polish. Suits someone who wants one bot and does not want it to submit anything; none of its skills submit applications. It is a generalist, so its resume work is lighter than a dedicated tailoring bot.

  2. 02

Why it is on the list

Scores each role 0 to 5 for fit and realism against a fact sheet you supply, then drafts a job-specific resume PDF without inventing experience. A separate reviewer step critiques the draft against that fact sheet and an ATS keyword map. Submission is a different step that needs your explicit yes for one LinkedIn or Greenhouse application, and setup creates a helper bot (Apply Runner) for that. Needs Gmail. Setup effort is higher than the simple bots, and it expects a good fact sheet.

  3. 03

Why it is on the list

Works one posting at a time. Paste a job description and it breaks out must-haves, scores your resume with evidence for and against each, rewrites bullets showing every change, and drafts a first message in your voice. An optional weekday cycle reads public job feeds and writes a queue. It only sends or submits queue IDs you name, and says LinkedIn Easy Apply and login-only application systems stay draft-only. Good for careful applicants. No plugins, so you do the sending.

  4. 04
    CareerOps Desk

Runs your job hunt end to end: finds postings that fit, sets up its own resume, writer, interview, and review bots, and submits gated applications for you. For…

    • Routines1

Why it is on the list

Aimed at operations and supply-chain hunts. It builds a small team of helper bots for resumes, writing, interviews and review, and passes every packet through a QA gate before it is shared or submitted. A routine runs twice a day to find fits and submit gated packets. Risk: it can submit applications on its own, twice a day, without asking you. Before you start, set it to require your approval for every submission, keep the routine paused until you have read the gate's rules, and review several drafts first. Setup is heavy and the fit scoring is a 0 to 100 score with go or no-go.

  5. 05

Why it is on the list

A coach, not a scanner. It helps you find direction, set a salary floor, strengthen resume bullets, write cold emails to employers with no posted opening, practise interviews and negotiate an offer. A guardrails skill checks care and honesty, and it points advice outside careers elsewhere. Suits career changers and anyone feeling stuck. It does not search job boards or apply, so pair it with a finder.

Why it is on the list

Builds STAR answers from stories you have verified, runs adversarial mock interviews one question at a time, and rewrites spoken answers so they sound like you. Routines give one short rehearsal each morning and check each evening for an interview tomorrow. Best once you have interviews booked. It needs you to supply real stories, and it does not look for jobs.

  7. 07
    Resume Coach

A direct, warm career coach that reviews your resume, interviews you about your real experience, and builds 2-3 resume versions tailored to your target role. F…

Why it is on the list

Reviews a resume honestly, interviews you about real achievements and numbers, and then builds two or three variants (chronological, skills-based, targeted or plain for applicant tracking systems). Suits people whose resume is the bottleneck. It has no routines or plugins and does no searching, so treat it as a one-off prep step before a finder.

  8. 08

Why it is on the list

Built for creators and content or community people. It reads your X profile to work out which roles fit, scans for open roles and freshly funded projects, drafts pitches in your voice and checks your DMs each morning for replies. Needs the X plugin, which the Grok Bot docs say needs X API credits on your developer account. Risk: it works through DMs and pitches strangers, so keep pitches on draft and review each one.

  9. 09

Why it is on the list

Narrowly for Handshake users, mainly students and recent graduates. It matches roles to a saved search, applies through Handshake's Easy Apply, prepares a career-fair brief, logs applications to a sheet and drafts recruiter replies that wait for confirmation. Needs Google Sheets and Drive. Risk: it can submit applications on its own through Easy Apply. Set it to require your approval before each submission. Its gap-check skill says it will not invent experience. Only useful if your school uses Handshake.

  10. 10

Why it is on the list

A single-purpose scraper for freelancers on Contra. Every six hours it reads the For you feed, archives listings in Notion, checks whether earlier leads have closed and emails a digest only when something changed. Needs Notion and Gmail and a listing URL. It finds work but does not pitch or apply. Check Contra's terms before you automate access to the site. The template was last updated in late August.
